SAN MARCOS, Calif. – In a little less than a month, the Cal State San Marcos men's and women's track & field teams will begin the outdoor season as Head Coach
Torrey Olson announced the Cougars' 2024 schedule on Friday.

"We're excited for our 2024 outdoor schedule," Olson said. "We have a great mix of opportunities that will give the breadth of our student-athletes great opportunities for competition. We're also thrilled to bring the Mangrum Invitational back again this year and expect to build on the success of last year's meet."

CSUSM will begin the outdoor season at the Kamaka Multi and Open on Feb. 22-24 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut. After that, the Cougars will spend March 1-2 at Long Beach State's Beach Opener before making their way down to Cal State Fullerton for the Ben Brown Invitational on March 8-9.

The Cougars will then return to San Diego County for Point Loma's Ross & Sharon Irwin Invitational on March 16 before hosting the Mangrum Invitational on March 22. The next day, CSUSM will return to Point Loma for the PLNU Track & Field Invitational on March 23 while also sending a select few to UCLA for the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational.

CSUSM will begin April at UC San Diego's Triton Invitational on April 5-6 before splitting up the following weekend by competing at Azuza Pacific's Bryan Clay Invitational on April 11-13, Long Beach State's Beach Invitational on April 12-13 and La Verne's Leopard Distance Carnival on April 12. After a week off, CSUSM will finish the month at UC Irvine's Steve Scott Invitational on April 26-27.

The Cougars will head to Turlock on May 2-4 for the CCAA Championships at host Stanislaus State. CSUSM's final opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships will be at Azusa Pacific's Franson Last Chance on May 10-11. Should any Cougar make the cut, they'll head to Emporia, Kansas, for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 23-25.
