SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (10-3, 7-1 CCAA) recorded its largest margin of victory of the NCAA Division II era (2015-present) with a 75-41 victory at Cal State San Bernardino (6-7, 4-4 CCAA) on Thursday night in Coussoulis Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams got off to a slow start as the first points of the game came on a pair of free throws by Reilly at the 7:29 mark of the first quarter.
- The Coyotes answered with a 6-0 run.
- The Cougars didn't get their first field goal until the 1:41 mark of the first quarter on a Vasquez layup to make it 11-6 CSUSB.
- CSUSM scored eight points, all two point buckets, in the final 1:40 to trail by only one (13-12) after 10 minutes of play.
- The Cougars opened the second quarter with six unanswered points to take a 18-13 lead, forcing a San Bernardino timeout.
- CSUSM outscored the Coyotes 18-5 in the second quarter to take a 30-18 lead into the halftime break.
- San Marcos' defense held CSUSB to just 6.7% (1-of-15) from the field in the second quarter.
- The Cougars rebounded from a 23.5 (4-of-17) field-goal percentage in the first quarter with a 58.3% (7-of-12) in the second quarter.
- Neither team made a 3-pointer in the opening 20 minutes with CSUSM going 0-of-6 and San Bernardino 0-of-9.
- Tameilau led all scorers with 11 points in the first half while Vasquez contributed eight points and eight rebounds.
- Charity Gallegos' 3-pointer at the 7:16 mark of the third quarter was the first trey by either team in the game, putting CSUSM up 39-20.
- A Vasquez layup at seven minutes gave CSUSM a 21-point cushion (41-20).
- The Cougars took a 54-31 lead into the final 10 minutes of play.
- CSUSM went 4-of-4 from beyond the arc in the third quarter with three 3-pointers coming from Gallegos and one from Malia Mastora.
- The Cougars took their largest lead of the game at the 5:37 mark of the fourth quarter on a Reilly layup that made it 70-33.

- The Cougars tallied their largest margin of victory (+34) since moving to NCAA Division II (2015-present). The previous record was set Feb. 20, 2020, against Cal State Monterey Bay when CSUSM won 66-35 (+31).Â
- CSUSM shot 45.9% (28-of-61) from the field while holding the Coyotes to a 25.0% (16-of-64) field-goal percentage.
- Vasquez collected her eighth double-double of the season (20 pts, 15 reb.) and the 34th of her collegiate career.
- Reilly tallied a season-high 10 points while Vasquez matched her season-best 15 rebounds.
- Behind a season-best 54 rebounds, the Cougars won the battle of the boards ahead of CSUSB's 37.
- CSUSM tallied 44 of its points inside the paint to CSUSB's 28.
- The Cougars scored 15 points off fast breaks while the Coyotes only recorded one bucket.
- CSUSM led for 29:36 of the game to CSUSB's 5:46.
- San Bernardino's 41 total points were the lowest scored by a CSUSM opponent this season.
- The Cougars remain undefeated when playing in San Bernardino at 8-0 while leading in the all-time series at 10-3.
