POMONA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (11-3, 8-1 CCAA) clinched its fifth consecutive win with a 63-45 victory at Cal Poly Pomona (9-5, 5-4 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon at Kellogg Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars held a 13-10 lead after the first quarter.
- Both teams put up 11 points in the second quarter as CSUSM took a 23-20 lead into the halftime break.
- The third quarter was all CSUSM as the Cougars outscored the Broncos, 20-8.
- The Cougars went 6-of-10 (60%) from the field with a 3-of-5 (60%) performance from behind the arc in the third quarter.
- CSUSM made it a double-digit lead at 39-29 after Ava Ranson sunk a 3-pointer with 1:12 remaining in the third quarter.
- The Cougars took their largest lead of the game at the 1:35 mark of the fourth quarter when Gallegos hit a 3-pointer in the corner in front of the CSUSM bench that made it 60-42.

- CSUSM shot 44.4% (20-of-45) from the field while holding the Broncos to 25.0% (16-of-62) field-goal percentage.
- From behind the arc, the Cougars went 8-of-19 (42.1%) to CPP's 3-of-20 (15.0%).
- Vasquez collected her ninth double-double of the season (22 pts, 17 reb.) and the 35th of her collegiate career.
- CSUSM won the battle of the boards, 41 to 32.
- The Broncos scored just 11 points off CSUSM's 18 turnovers while the Cougars tallied 12 points from CPP's 13.
- CSUSM led for 85% of the game while Pomona led for only 9%.
