Cougars See Top-10 Program Mark in First Day of CCAA Championships

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team finished the first day of the 2023 CCAA Track & Field Championships by completing four heptathlon events on Thursday at Mangrum Track & Field.
 
TOP PERFORMANCES
  • Charlotte Allison set a new PR in the heptathlon high jump with a mark of 1.61 meters – the third-best mark in program history and .04 better than her previous best. She tied for first and earned 747 points.
  • Morgann Wilson was CSUSM's top finisher in the heptathlon 100-meter hurdles at 14.99, placing second and earning 843 points.
  • Wilson placed third in the heptathlon shot put with a distance of 10.20 meters and earned 543 points.
  • In the final heptathlon event of the day, Wilson finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.90 and earned 806 points.
  • Through four heptathlon events, Wilson is second with 2,791 points, Lauren Meredith is fifth with 2,489 points, Allison is sixth with 2,448 points and Cam Ellis is 12th with 1,995 points.
