Cougars See Silver Medal on Second Day of CCAA Championships

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's outdoor track & field team saw a silver medal, a school record and an NCAA Division II provisional mark on the second day of competition at the 2026 CCAA Track & Field Championships on Friday at Mangrum Track & Field.
 
TOP PERFORMANCES
  • Jordyn Brooks earned silver in the triple jump by breaking her own school record with an NCAA Division II provisional mark of 12.20 meters. She improved her PR by .20. Aliyah Ratcliffe finished sixth for the event and had the sixth-best mark in program history at 11.35 meters. Together, Brooks and Ratcliffe scored 11 points for the Cougars.
  • Isabella Sanchez and Alyssa Jones tied for fifth in the high jump with marks of 1.53 meters. Together, they scored five points for CSUSM.
  • Alyssa Jones scored two points for the Cougars with a seventh-place finish in the heptathlon at 3,258 points.
  • Frayda Lemas scored a point for CSUSM in the hammer throw with an eighth-place mark of 40.52 meters.
  • Nadia Miechowicz had the top time in the 200-meter prelim at 23.98 seconds and advanced to Saturday's final.
  • Shaylee Mutka (14.62) and Kam Pressley (14.86) each qualified for Saturday's 100-meter hurdles final, finishing sixth and eighth in the prelim, respectively.
