PUEBLO, Colo. – The Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team began the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl on Thursday evening.
 
Mia Salinas recorded a time of 1:01.58 in the first heat of the 800-meter hurdles and placed 15th overall. This was her third-fastest time of the season in the event.
 
Rasha Badrani followed with a time of 1:02.02 in the third heat and took 18th overall. Her time was her fourth fastest of the season.

On the women's Luz Mercado will race in the 800-meter prelims on Friday at 5 p.m. (PT) and will be followed on the men's side by Nick Melanese in the 800-meter prelims at 5:15 p.m. (PT).
