ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos baseball team (16-21, 10-17 CCAA) recorded a 3-0 shutout victory to win its series at Sonoma State (15-21, 9-19 CCAA) on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM began the scoring in the top of the first inning with an RBI groundout by Reece and an RBI single by Reivera to go up 2-0.
- The Cougars scored their third and final run in the top of the ninth with an RBI single to right by Aoki and took a 3-0 lead to the final frame.
- Preston Kelly came on in relief to begin the bottom of the ninth and tallied his seventh save of the year with a flawless inning while posting one punchout.

- CSUSM reliever Tyler Seal (1-0) earned the win as he allowed just one hit and one walk in 1.1 innings.
- The combination of starter Josh Kim and relievers Seal, Josiah Torres, Thomas Babineau and Kelly recorded the Cougars' first nine-inning shutout of the season.
