SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The No. 15/RV Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (19-3, 16-2 CCAA) recorded its second-consecutive come-from-behind victory to extend its win streak to six games with an 82-71 victory over Stanislaus State (6-18, 2-16 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM shot 71.1% (5-of-7) in the first quarter but trailed 19-15 due to turning over the ball 10 times.
- Stan State took its biggest lead of the game at 1:01 in the second quarter on Joia Armstrong's 3-pointer that made it 39-24.
- The Cougars trailed 39-26 at halftime after shooting 33.3% (8-of-24) to Stan State's 51.5% (8-of-16).
- CSUSM opened the second half with an 11-0 run to close within two at 39-37 on a Forester 3-pointer at 8:08.
- The Warriors responded with an 8-1 run to make it 47-38 on Lilana Marques' 3-pointer at 5:44.
- Back-to-back 3-pointers by Forrester and Parker cut the Stan State lead to 49-46 with 3:57 remaining in the third quarter.
- On a fast break, Dynnah Buckner converted an old-fashion 3-point play to even the game at 49-all at 3:29.
- A pair of free throws by Dynnah Buckner gave CSUSM its first lead in the second half at 53-51 with 2:13 on the clock.
- A foul with .3 seconds on the clock sent Katie FitzGerald to the line, who made both ends to give CSUSM a 58-57 lead at the end of the third quarter.
- The Cougars took a 65-59 lead on Charity Gallegos' drive on the baseline at 6:14 of the fourth quarter.
- A Forrester 3-pointer from in front of the CSUSM bench made it 70-61 with 4:53 remaining in the game, prompting a timeout by the Warriors.
- A pair of made free throws by Forrester with a minute remaining gave the Cougars a double-figure cushion, which they maintained the rest of the game.
FAST BREAKS
- Forrester tallied her second career-leading seven 3-pointers in a game, the second most in program history. Former teammate Akayla Hackson holds the record with eight, which she notched at San Francisco State on Feb. 21, 2019.
- Vasquez collected her second consecutive double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- CSUSM's 82 points were the most scored by the Cougars this season.
- The Warriors registered 28 points in the paint to CSUSM's 18.
- The Cougars won the battle of the boards, 35-24.
- Seventeen of CSUSM's points came on fast breaks while Stan State was limited to two.
- Stan State led for 19:27 of the game while CSUSM was on top for 16:21.

- With the win, CSUSM evens the all-time series against the Warriors at 6-6 and is now 4-2 when playing at home.
- The Cougars have notched their seventh season-series victory with the win over the Warriors.
