SAN MARCOS, Calif. –
Charlie Henderson of men's basketball and
Natalie Paulson of women's soccer have been named the Cal State San Marcos Student-Athletes of the Month for November 2023.
Â
The CSUSM Student-Athletes of the Month awards are determined through a vote of all Department of Athletics coaches, administrators and staff. Each in-season program nominates a student-athlete to be considered for the award each month.
Â
Henderson led CSUSM with 13.0 points per game, a 62.2 field-goal percentage and five blocked shots while coming down with 5.8 rebounds per game in the Cougars' five games in November. In CSUSM's second game of the season against Biola, Henderson earned his first double-double as a Cougar with 17 points and a season-high 10 rebounds against Biola while blocking three shots.

She posted one goal on a penalty kick in the regular-season finale against Cal State East Bay. After helping CSUSM win its first CCAA Tournament Championship, the Long Beach native was named to the All-CCAA Tournament Team and was named the tournament's Defensive Most Valuable Player.
