SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (3-4-2, 1-1-0 CCAA) will go on the road for its next pair of CCAA contests at Cal State Dominguez Hills (0-7-2, 0-2-0 CCAA) on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and at Cal State Monterey Bay (3-3-3, 0-1-1 CCAA) on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

- CSUSM opened CCAA play with a 3-1 win over Cal State East Bay at The Cage on Friday, earning Head Coach Bobby Renneisen his 50th-career victory.
- The Cougars got goals from Claire Hernandez, Sierra Moore and Jenna Frankina, two assists from Chloe King and one assist from Danielle Paulson.
- Paulson's assist gave her a team-high three points.
- CSUSM moved to 6-1-1 in the all-time series against East Bay.
- The Cougars ended the weekend with a 2-0 loss to Stanislaus State on Sunday.

FRIDAY AT DOMINGUEZ HILLS

SUNDAY IN SEASIDE

2022 CSUSM WOMEN'S SOCCER NOTES
- CSUSM will begin its 2022 season with a very young roster as it welcomes 13 incoming freshmen to its roster of 28.
- The Cougars return 12 from the 2021 squad, including top-goal scorers Chloe King, Sierra Moore and Hunter Morton and starting keeper Allison Marcure.
- Marcure ended the 2021 season with the 25th-best save percentage in Division II at .855 and ranked third in the CCAA.
- Graduate students Taylor Moorehead and Julia Atlee join CSUSM as transfers from San Diego State and Hartford, respectively.
- In 2021, the Cougars finished the season at .500 with an overall record of 6-6-3.
- CSUSM finished 10th in the CCAA standings with a 2-6-3 record.
- The Cougars were picked to finish 10th in the 2022 CCAA Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Starting this season, the NCAA has eliminated overtime periods from men's and women's soccer regular-season games. All games tied after 90 minutes will end in a draw.
THE RENNEISEN FILE
- Head coach Bobby Renneisen enters his ninth year in charge of the women's program and 17th overall at CSUSM.
- Renneisen's 2018 team made its second consecutive CCAA Tournament appearance in 2018 while also handing No. 1 UC San Diego its lone regular-season loss.
- Between 2006-13, Renneisen was an assistant/associate head coach for both the men's and women's soccer teams.
- As the women's head coach, Renneisen is 50-48-30Â (.508) for his career with the Cougars.
