SAN FRANCISCO – It was a fruitful Friday at CCAA Track & Field Championships for the Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team as it saw gold and bronze medals in addition to numerous qualifiers for Saturday's finals.

TOP PERFORMANCES
- Devin Yarbrough was CSUSM's first gold medalist of the CCAA Championships as she won the long jump with a school record and NCAA provisional mark of 5.86 meters. Her mark was .33 better than her old PR and knocked off Yachi Falls' program record of 5.61 meters set in 2013. Yarbrough is CSUSM's first CCAA individual champion in the long jump.
- Finishing up the heptathlon, Morgann Wilson finished third with a total of 3,971 points – the third-highest total in program history. She's CSUSM's first All-CCAA recipient in the event as she took home third-team honors. Cam Ellis finished with the ninth-most point in program history at 3,178 points.
- CSUSM will send four to Saturday's 1500-meter finals as Renee Laurenzana led Friday's prelims with a time of 4:41.10. Joining her in the finals will be Emma Mills (4:42.20), Luz Mercado (4:42.37) and Ana Mercado (4:51.77).
- Mia Salinas qualified for the finals of the 400-meter run with a time of 59.17.
- Clarissa Garcia posted the top time in the 800-meter prelims at 2:17.99. Ana and Luz Mercado also qualified for the finals with times of 2:22.60 and 2:22.63, respectively.
- Teigen O'Donnell qualified for the finals of the 400-meter hurdles as she recorded a prelim time of 1:08.91.
- O'Donnell just missed out on making the finals of the 100-meter hurdles as she finished ninth in the prelims with a time of 15.16.
- Maria Texis was CSUSM's top finisher in the 10K with a seventh-place time of 38.14.67.
