SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos' Jordyn Brooks leapt to a couple of solid marks, earning her this week's FloCollege/CCAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week award.

Brooks posted the fourth-best long jump mark in CSUSM history with a distance of 5.72 meters (18 feet, 9 ¼ inches) at the Oxy Distance Carnival & Spring Break Classic. She placed second out of 20 entrants at Saturday's meet at Occidental College. Her CCAA-leading mark is the third best in Division II.

The junior from Long Beach also competed in the triple jump on Saturday, posting a mark of 11.45 meters (37'-6.75") to place second behind Cal State East Bay's Julia Carmona (11.91m).

Cal State San Marcos will take part in the UC Riverside Spring Classic on Saturday before hosting the Mangrum Invitational on its home track, which is the site of the 2026 CCAA Track & Field Championships.
