Box Score 2 SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The top-seeded Cal State San Marcos softball team (45-14) saw its historic season end on Friday, dropping back-to-back games in the NCAA Division II West Super Regional to Cal State Dominguez Hills (41-21) at CSUSM Softball Field. The Cougars fell 10-2 in a mercy-ruled, six-inning game before dropping a 3-1 decision in the second game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars jumped out quickly, taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Coyle laced a two-out single up the middle and scored on Gutierrez's RBI double that went all the way to the right field wall.
- The Toros took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the frame on Raquel Jaime's solo home run, Katelyn Strum's RBI single through the left side and Kaylee Hull's 2-RBI single to left center.
- Andelin led off by beating out an infield single to second base and scored on Coyle's double down the right line to make it 4-2 CSUDH.
- The Toros notched two runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth to run-rule the Cougars and force a third game of the series.

- Toro starting pitcher Alyssa Olague went the distance for the win, limiting the Cougars to just two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four batters in 6.0 innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Toros took a 1-0 lead in the opening frame on Amara Labonog's RBI single to left field. Â
- Back-to-back RBI doubles by Katelyn Strum and Kaylee Hull made it 3-0 Toros in the bottom of the fourth.
- CSUSM got on the board in the top of the fifth on Donnelly's RBI single up the middle to make it 3-1.

- CSUDH reliever Ashley Wies (S, 1) picked up the save after tossing two shutout innings and allowing just one hit.
