LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team saw a pair of top-10 program times in addition to multiple other top performances at UC San Diego's Triton Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

TOP PERFORMANCES
- Luz Mercado took second in the 1500-meter run with the third-fastest time in program history at 4:34.29. She improved her PR by exactly three seconds.
- Ana Mercado placed second in the 800-meter run with a new PR of 2:11.28 – the third-fastest time in program history. Already with an NCAA Division II provisional for the event, she improved her time by .05. Teammate Clarissa Garcia took fifth with a time of 2:13.53.
- Renee Laurenzana set a new PR in the 3,000-meter run as she finished fourth out of 29 with a time of 10:18.13.
- The Cougars took third in the 4 x 400-meter relay with a time of 3:53.04.
- Grace Handler finished fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a PR of 18:56.71.
