SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos' Danielle Patrick has been picked as the FloCollege/CCAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week, for the week of March 30-April 5.

At the Stanford Invitational, Patrick won the collegiate division of the women's pole vault by clearing 3.81 meters (12 feet, six inches) to provisionally qualify for the NCAA Championships. She currently ranks second in the CCAA and 22nd in Division II, tied with Cal Poly Pomona's Kendra Williams, who was also at Stanford. Patrick won the event over Williams with fewer misses at the winning height.

Her new personal best mark now ranks her second on the CSUSM record books.

The freshman from Murrieta has now won pole vault at two consecutive meets. She was also second at the Rossi Relays on Feb. 28.

Cal State San Marcos will compete at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Saturday in Claremont, California.
