POMONA, Calif. – In the series finale against Cal Poly Pomona (26-15, 21-10 CCAA), the Cal State San Marcos baseball team (13-29, 9-23 CCAA) fell by a score of 16-1 on Sunday at Scolinos Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Broncos took a 2-0- lead in the bottom of the first on back-to-back RBI fielder's choices to second by Ricky Nunez and Ryon Knowles.
- CPP went up 5-0 in the bottom of the second with an RBI double down the right field line by AJ Nimeh before a two-run homer to right by Casey Slattery.
- A bases-loaded walk by Slattery in the bottom of the third gave the Broncos a 6-0 lead.
- CPP put a seven spot on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning with two bases-loaded walks, three RBI singles and two RBI fielder's choices to go up 13-0.
- CSUSM broke up the shutout in the top of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded from two walks and a single, Teisher drove in a run on a sacrifice fly to right and made it a 13-1 game.
- The Broncos went up 16-1 in the bottom of the seventh as they were hit three times with the bases loaded.
