Cougars Tally Two Provisional Times at Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team tallied two NCAA Division II provisional times while posting five top-10 program times at Azusa Pacific's Bryan Clay Invitational on Wednesday through Friday at Cougar Stadium.
 
TOP PERFORMANCES
  • Trevor Boaz recorded the second-best 1500-meter time in program history with an NCAA Division II provisional mark of 3:47.78 – the school's fastest time since 2012. His previous PR was 3:51.29.
  • Shea Vavra entered the top 10 of the 1500-meter run with the eighth-fastest time at 3:50.74.
  • Boaz also tallied the third-best 800-meter time in program history at 1:51.71. His time was just .07 shy of a provisional.
  • Ruben Piña earned himself a provisional in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 30:08.62 – the third-fastest time in school history. He improved his PR by 6.90.
  • Justice Chima had a wind-aided time of 21.65 in the 200-meter dash – a time that would've shattered the school record if not for the wind.
