Box Score IRVINE, Calif. – A crowd of 2,487 was at Bill Barber Stadium to watch the Cal State San Marcos softball team take part in an experience of a lifetime as the Cougars played an exhibition against Team USA on Sunday afternoon in Irvine, California. Facing the world's best, the Cougars evened the game at 3-3 in the fourth before eventually falling 9-3 to Team USA.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Team USA took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on Ali Aguilar's groundout that scored Haylie McCleney.
- In the bottom of the second, Team USA tacked on another run with a fielder's choice that plated Hannah Flippen.
- Team USA made it a 3-0 game in the bottom of the third on Flippen's RBI single up the middle that scored Aguilar.
- The Cougars evened the game in the top of the fourth inning. Lombardi hit a one-out single, Abby Callais reached on a fielder's choice and pinch hitter Brittney Scardina was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Pinch hitter Kayla Mack followed with a bases-clearing double to left field.
- Aguilar crushed a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning and followed it with a three-run homer in the sixth to put Team USA up 8-3.
- Michelle Moultrie wrapped up the scoring with an RBI triple up the middle to the right center wall to score Valerie Arioto in the bottom of the sixth.
