Trevor Rogers then delivered a two-RBI double to left center to put the Gators up 3-0. Graham Cumming came on to relieve starter Garrett Apker and got the strikeout to end the inning.
- Teisher got the top of the seventh started with a leadoff homer on a solo shot to right. With one out and Lopez on first after walking, Freeman hit an RBI double down the left field line to score Lopez and cut the deficit to 3-2.
- The Cougars got three consecutive singles by Zach Schuberg, Bahna and Andrew Garcia to begin the eighth inning. Ethan Ellis then hit an RBI fielder's choice to score Schuberg, but Garcia was safe at second on the Gators' fifth error of the day. A sacrifice fly to right by Teisher then scored Bahna to give CSUSM its first lead of the afternoon at 4-3 with one out. Lopez then hit a two-run double to left field to put the Cougars up 6-3.
- With one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, SF State's Nick Upstill reached on an infield error while Jason Hare scored. Kyler Crone was then hit-by-pitch and brought Marco Salvetti home. The Gators then scored on a wild pitch to knot the game at 6-6. The Gators nearly scored the game-winning run on another wild pitch, but Upstill was thrown out at home. CSUSM got out of the jam with a foul out to end the inning.
- In the bottom of the 10th, Salvetti walked and advanced to second on a passed ball with one out. After Jarrett Brannen was intentionally walked, Jonah Gonzales hit a walk-off single through the left side to score Salvetti and give the Gators the series sweep.
