SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team dropped a 91-85 overtime decision in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play to Humboldt State on Saturday afternoon in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- HSU's largest lead of the first half was 35-22 on a Jackson Strong 3-pointer at 3:21.
- A 9-0 run by CSUSM closed its deficit to 38-34 at the halftime break.
- A 3-pointer by Seits cut HSU's lead to 52-50 with 12:53 remaining in the second half.
- Back-to-back layups by Bryce Sloan with assists from Fuller cut CSUSM's deficit to one point (55-54) with 11:24 on the clock.
- A 3-pointer by Jayce McCain after an offensive rebound and assist by Seits made it 68-64 with 5:13 remaining.
- After a big defensive rebound, Fuller connected on a hook shot to make it 71-68 with 3:44 on the clock.
- A pair of made free throws by Kyle Scalmanini made it a one-point ballgame (73-72) once again with 1:43 left in the game.
- Fuller made the front-end of his free throws to even the game at 73-all with 1:02 on the clock.
- HSU's Leland Green knocked down a jumper to give the Jacks back the led with 35 seconds remaining.
- A second-chance layup by Fuller evened the contest at 75-all with 11 seconds remaining.
- Green's 3-pointer at the buzzer came up short, sending the game into overtime.
- The Jacks outscored CSUSM 16-10 in overtime as the Cougars never led in the final five minutes.
