CHICO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team fell 79-73 at No. 24/NR Chico State in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Saturday night at Acker Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENEND
	- An 8-0 run gave CSUSM its largest lead of the game at 25-19 after a Fuller dunk with 9:16 to go in the first half.
- With the Cougars up 33-29 at the 4:08 mark in the first period, the Wildcats went on a 7-0 run to take a 36-33 lead with 1:47 to play.
- CSUSM went to the locker room with a 42-35 deficit.
- The Cougars shot 55.6% (15-of-27) from the field in the first half while the Wildcats shot slightly better at 57.7%.
- Fuller led CSUSM with eight points after 20 minutes of play.
- Chico scored 13 points off CSUSM's five turnovers in the first half.
- The Wildcats never relinquished the lead in the second half as they took their largest lead of the game at 64-51 with 11:03 to go.
- A 9-0 run by the Cougars brought the deficit down to 64-60 after Bryce Sloan made the first of two free throws with 4:35 remaining, but the Wildcats soon built up a 75-63 lead with 2:07 to go.
- Chico shot 44.8% (13-of-29) from the field in the second half while CSUSM came in slightly lower at 44.4% (12-of-27).
- The Cougars outscored the Wildcats 38-37 in the final 20 minutes.
 
FAST BREAKS
	- CSUSM falls to 11-12 (7-10 CCAA) while Chico State improves to 17-5 (12-4 CCAA).
- The Wildcats ended the game shooting 50.9% (28-of-55) from the field as the Cougars shot an even 50% (27-of-54).
- CSUSM is now 3-6 in the all-time series against Chico and is 1-4 on the road.
- The Cougars are still all alone in seventh place with a 7-10 CCAA record. CSUSM is a half-game up on eighth-place Cal State LA and Cal State Dominguez Hills, who are both 6-10 in conference play.
- Fuller became the second Cougar in program history with at least 400 career rebounds as he ended the night with 405.
- Blake Seits is now tied for the eighth-most 3-point field goals in program history as he notched his 69th.
