CARSON, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos softball team bounced back with a 4-3 victory in the nightcap after dropping the first game 6-4 at Cal State Dominguez Hills in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A two-run homer to center by Forstie gave CSUSM a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning.
- CSUDH made it 2-1 on an RBI single by Jazmin Guzman in the bottom of the third.
- Scardina answered in the top of the fourth with a solo home run to left to give CSUSM a two-run cushion once again at 3-1.
- The Toros put together a five-run fifth inning to take a 6-3 lead over the Cougars.
- Fisher's RBI single in the top of the sixth was CSUSM's final run of the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wood crushed a three-run home run after CSUDH's starter put two on with walks in the opening frame.
- CSUSM extended its lead in the top of the second to 4-0 when Andelin took advantage of a Toro error to plate Kat Calderon.
- CSUDH closed the gap with three runs in the bottom of the second on a fielder's choice and a two-RBI single by Jazmin Guzman.
