Caitlin Vinyard shined against No. 10 UC San Diego on Friday afternoon in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action. The Cougars dropped game one 1-0 before bouncing back with 2-0 victory over the Tritons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tritons' leadoff hitter Keila Bossinger went yard in the opening frame to put UCSD up 1-0.
- The Cougars got out of a bases-loaded jam in the first inning by breaking up a sacrifice fly with a double play by centerfielder Ronni Silas. Â

- The Cougars fall to 11-27 (7-24 CCAA) while the Tritons improve to 27-9 (20-6 CCAA).
- UCSD's Robyn Wampler (15-5) tossed a no-hitter to earn the win, tallying nine strikeouts and walking none.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM took a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning after LeClair hit a Texas League single to left and later scored on a UCSD error.
- Forstie led off the sixth with a double to left center and scored on Fisher's single up the middle to make it 2-0.
