SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos softball team dropped both games of Saturday's Senior Day, falling by scores of 5-2 and 3-0 to No. 10 UC San Diego in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action at CSUSM Softball Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tritons got on the board quickly after Keila Bosinger hit a leadoff double and later scored after a UCSD sacrifice bunt and fly in the opening frame.
- Reyes hit a two-run homer in the second to put UCSD up 3-0.
- Harrington knocked out a solo home run to right center in the fourth to raise the Tritons' lead to 4-0.
- A CSUSM error in the top of the seventh allowed UCSD to plate one more time to make it 5-0.
- CSUSM prevented a shutout thanks to Forstie's two-run jack, scoring LeClair who singled to center field to start the bottom of the seventh.

- The Cougars fell to 12-28 (8-25 CCAA) while the Tritons moved up to 28-10 (21-7).
- Skie Munoz (1-5) took the loss after surrendering five runs (four earned) on eight hits while striking out three.
- UCSD's Robyn Wampler (16-5) collected the win after tallying five strikeouts and allowing two runs on three hits.
- Forstie now has the most home runs on the team after tallying her fourth in the final inning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UCSD once again took a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning, this time off Maddy Lewis' RBI double to left field.
- In the top of the fifth, the Tritons extended their lead to 2-0 on Keila Bosinger's sacrifice fly to left after Mikaila Reyes doubled to leadoff the inning.
- The Tritons pushed one more run across in the seventh, capitalizing on a CSUSM error.

- Caitlin Vinyard took the loss after relinquishing three runs (two earned) on seven hits over seven innings.
