Ewing was named CSUSM's head softball coach in August, 2018. She is the fourth head coach in program history.
In fourĀ full seasons on the field, Ewing has produced 13Ā All-CCAA/All-Star honorees, 38 CCAA Spring Honor Roll recipients, 20 D2 ADA All Academic achievement award winners and 49 CCAA All-Academic award winners.Ā Pitcher Carly Slack was named 2021 CCAA Championship Scholar (newly named Elite 13 Award) after graduating with a near perfect academic record and a degree in Business Administration.
2023 ā The 2023 season was a landmark year for the Cougars (33-21) asĀ Ewing led the team to its first-ever NCAA West Regional Championship and a berth in the NCAA DII National Championship in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Cougars went on to finish in fifthĀ place at the World Series and a final NFCAĀ Division II Coaches Poll ranking of No. 7. (

The Cougars earned several awards including Makenzie Guiliano being named to the National Championships All-Tournament Team, Bianca GutierrezĀ to the All-CCAAĀ first team while Gianna Lombardi, Paige Donnelly, Savannah Coyle and Madison Waymire got All-CCAA second team nods. Ewing and Staff were named the NFCA West Region Coaching Staff of the Year. Ewing also received her 4-Star Master Coach certification from the NFCA during the season.
2022 - The 2022 season was one for the record books for the Cougars. The team won a NCAA Division II era school-record 45 games and itās first ever CCAA Conference Championship. The team finished one win shy of punching their ticket to the National Championship Series in Denver, falling in game three of Super Regionals to CSUDH. Numerous awards were handed out following the season including two NFCA All-American awards (Third Team) to freshmen Paige Donnelly and Savannah Coyle. The pair were also All-CCAA first along with Bianca Gutierrez.Ā Ā Nikki Andelin and Jayline Sloss received All-CCAA second team. Donnelly, Ā Gutierrez and Coyle were named to the NFCA All Region team. Ā Coyle was selectedĀ CCAA Freshmen of the Year while Donnelly took home CCAA Newcomer of the Year. Ā Ewing was named the CCAA Coach of the Year in 2022.
2021 ā Season Canceled due to COVID-19
2020 - Ewing and the Cougars were off to a great start in 2020 before COVID-19 ended the season early. In the final game played before the pandemic shut down sports across the country, CSUSM facedĀ Team USA in an exhibition game at Bill Barber Park in Irvine in front of approximately 2,500 softball fans. It was an amazing opportunity for the CSUSM players and fans to see the best in the world in action. The Cougars made the game exciting in the thirdĀ inning when Kayla Mack hit a bases-clearing double to tie the game at 3-all. Team USA went on to win but it was a magical moment for the CSUSM softball players and fans. No All-CCAA teams were announced in 2020 but each team had an All Star awarded from the CCAA. Andrea Wood was named CCAA All Star for the 2020 season.
2019 - In her first year at the helm, Ewing made strides to rebuild the program with the first CCAA four-game sweep over Cal State East Bay and a shutout against then-No.10 UC San Diego.Ā The Cougars fought all season and secured a series split in the final weekend against Cal State Dominguez Hills that had an impact on the final CCAA standing and tournament participants.
Ewing came to CSUSM after three years as the assistant coach at NCAA Division I New Mexico State, where she helped the Aggies to three WAC Regular Season Conference Championships and two WAC Conference Tournament Champions. Under Ewing's guidance, the Aggies finished second in the conference in defensive percentage at .963 with four new infielders and the second youngest NCAA Division I team in the country.

During her time at NMSU, Ewing's primary duties were defense, budget coordinator, equipment and apparel manager, camps, travel and recruiting.

Prior to NM State, Ewing was a head coach for the Arizona Firecrackers under 18 Gold team and the Arizona Hotshots Club team from 2011-15. While there, she coached over 30 players to be All-Region, All-Conference, All-Americans, Freshmen of the Year and Academic All-Americans at the Division I-III level.

In addition to coaching the Firecrackers and the Hotshots, Ewing was the varsity softball coach at Chaparral High School from 2012-15. The Scottsdale, Ariz. native guided Chaparral to the state finals in 2013 and the state semi-finals in 2014. Following her team's run in the state tournament, Ewing was named Arizona Big School Coach of the Year in 2013.

Ewing began her coaching career in 2010 as an assistant coach at Butler, where the team garnered the most wins in school history. Under her guidance, the Bulldogs set offensive records in home runs, batting average, RBIs and runs scored.

Ewing played at Oregon State from 2006-09. During the 2006 season, Oregon State advanced to the Women's College World Series for the first time in program history. During that same year, Ewing earned All-Pacific Region and was named to the All-PAC 10 Freshman Team. Additionally, Ewing was named All-Pac 10 in 2009 and was a three-year captain for the Beavers.

In 2004, Ewing was a member of the Greek National Team at 16 years old. She participated in the Olympic Test Event in Athens, Greece that year where she won a silver medal.
