LOS ANGELES – The Cal State San Marcos baseball team earned a series win over Cal State Los Angeles as it took an 11-5 victory before falling 7-6 in Sunday's California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) doubleheader at Reeder Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- An RBI double by CSULA's Adam Gordon gave the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
- Griffin Teisher scored on a wild pitch in the top of the third to even the game at 1-1.
- RBI singles in the third and fourth innings gave the Golden Eagles a 3-1 lead.
- The Cougars took their first lead of the contest at 4-3 with a three-run homer by Ott to left center in the fifth inning.
- An RBI groundout by Noe Garcia knotted the game at 4-all in the sixth.
- CSUSM scored seven unanswered runs in the seventh through ninth innings to go up 11-4 before CSULA finally scored on an RBI double in the bottom of the ninth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles got on the board in the bottom of the first inning by scoring on a wild pitch before Jordan Peabody put an RBI single into left.
- With bases loaded in the fourth, Andrew Cowell earned an RBI after getting hit by a pitch before a two-run single by Teisher gave CSUSM a 3-2 lead.
- An RBI double to center by Buck, an RBI single to second by Diggs and an RBI single through the left side by Anthony Rodriguez put the Cougars up 6-2 in the top of the fifth.
- CSULA's comeback began in the bottom of the fifth as the Golden Eagles scored on a CSUSM fielding error.
- The Golden Eagles went ahead 7-6 in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a bases-loaded walk, a passed ball and a two-run single to right center by Peabody.
