SAN MARCOS, Calif. – On Senior Day, the Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team tallied a 67-52 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) victory over Cal State Monterey Bay in The Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars wasted no time, taking a 24-12 lead in the opening 10 minutes.
- CSUSM took a 39-28 lead into halftime despite being outscored by the Otters 16-15 in the second quarter.
- The Cougars registered 12 points to CSUMB's nine in the third quarter to hold a 51-37 lead with 10 minutes remaining.
- CSUSM's largest lead came in the third quarter with 3:37 remaining as Forel sunk a free throw to put the Cougars up by 19 points (51-39).
- The Otters got with in single digits in the fourth quarter when Camille Parker connected on a jumper at 5:52 to make it 55-46.
- Two layups and a 3-pointer by Hackson put the game out of reach for the Otters.

FAST BREAKS
- CSUSM improves to 17-9 overall and 14-8 in CCAA play while the Otters conclude their 2018-19 season at 1-25, 1-21 in conference action.
- The Cougars remain undefeated at home against the Otters and tack on their fourth consecutive victory over CSUMB.
- As a team, CSUSM recorded 50 rebounds and notched its largest rebound margin of the season at 21 as CSUMB only tallied 29 boards.
- The Cougars also collected a season-high 40 offensive rebounds.
- Forel tallied her seventh double-double of the season, making her even with Jon'Nae Vermillion.
- Prior to the game, CSUSM honored its two seniors - Baylee Olsen and Cheyenne Ertz - with a special ceremony.Â
