NEW ORLEANS – For just the second time as an NCAA Division II member, the Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team earned a top-25 ranking in the first release of the 2019 Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index by coming in at No. 19, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Tuesday.

The Cougars had a total of 60.38 points and ranked fifth among California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) members.

Antonio Riggins is currently the Cougars' top scorer with 18.37 points as he posted a Division II Provisional mark of 14.97 meters at the Rossi Relays on Feb. 23.

Tuesday marked the first time since 2017 that CSUSM had been ranked in the top 25 of the Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index. In the first release of 2017, the Cougars were ranked No. 16 with 72.81 points.

CSUSM will return to action at the 41st Annual Aztec Invitational hosted by San Diego State beginning on Thursday.
