SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's outdoor track & field team recorded a school record, two NCAA provisional times and a total of seven top-10 program marks as it competed at the Ben Brown Invite and Aztec Coastal Classic & Distance Carnival on Thursday and Friday.

BEN BROWN INVITE TOP PERFORMANCES
- Joseph Forte was the lone entrant for the men's team at the meet, placing 16th in the javelin with a mark of 39.76 meters, his second-best mark of the season.

AZTEC COASTAL CLASSIC & DISTANCE CARNIVAL TOP PERFORMANCES
- Jason Wells became the CSUSM record holder in the 200-meter dash with an NCAA Division II provisional time of 21.01 seconds. Isaac Brooks joined Wells with a provisional time of his own at 21.05 seconds – the second-best time in program history. Both their times beat out Justice Chima's 2022 record of 21.28 seconds. Logan Wilson posted the team's fourth-fastest time in history at 21.41 seconds while Adam Moe tied for the 10th-best time at 21.98 seconds.
- Cody Purvis tallied the third-best shot put mark in team history with a distance of 14.23 meters.
- In the 5000-meter run, Alan Jimenez posted the fourth-fastest time in school history at 14:28.83 while Ziggy Nacco recorded the 10th-fastest time at 14:38.57.
