HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Seawolves took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning after scoring on a passed ball and a Bryce Vitt RBI single down right field line.
- An RBI single down the left field line by Näshéa Diggs cut the Cougars' deficit to 2-1 in the top of the fifth.
- SSU went up by three in the bottom of the fifth as Zachary Guardino hit a two-run double into right center.
- A two-run single by Dan Deely put the Seawolves up 6-1 in the bottom of the sixth.
- The Cougars fought back with a four-run inning in the top of the eighth as Buck hit a two-run double into right before scoring on a wild pitch. An RBI single through the left side by Johnson cut the deficit to 6-5.
- SSU countered CSUSM with a five-run inning in the bottom of the eighth to put the game out of reach.

- Starter Mike Lopez (2-2) took the loss for the Cougars as he threw eight strikeouts in 4.1 innings of work while allowing two runs on four hits and no walks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- SSU took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first as Josh Lenney roped an RBI single into left.
- An RBI double by Buck that scored Van Til knotted the game at 1-1 in the top of the third.
- A solo shot to right by the Seawolves' Matt Hill put SSU up 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth.
- Lenney's two-run double in the bottom of the sixth put SSU up 4-1.
- Buck scored Austin Ott with an RBI single to cut the Cougars' deficit to 4-2 in the top of the seventh.
