SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team suffered a 69-58 loss to Cal State San Bernardino in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action on Thursday night at Coussoulis Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM trailed CSUSB 28-19 at the half after being held to just 8-of-27 (29.6 percent) from the field.
- Fuller and Sloan each led the Cougars with six points after 20 minutes while Fuller led the half with six rebounds.
- The Coyotes ended the first half on an 11-2 run.
- CSUSB's largest lead of the game came with 9:14 left in the game as it went up 50-30.
- The Cougars were barely outscored in the second half at 41-39.
- CSUSM shot much better in the second half at 51.9 percent (14-of-27), but CSUSB continued to outpace the Cougars by shooting 65.2 percent (15-of-23) in the final 20 minutes.

- CSUSM drops to 5-16 (2-13 CCAA) while CSUSB improves to 14-9 (10-7 CCAA).
- Sloan ended the contest with a team-leading 14 points and was one point off the game high.
- Williams played all 40 minutes for the third consecutive game while leading the game with six assists and four steals.
- This was the Cougars' eighth game with at least 10 steals this season as they had a 10-5 margin over the Coyotes.
- CSUSM had an 8-7 advantage on offensive boards.
- The Cougars shot 44.4 percent (8-of-18) from three while the Coyotes came in at 36.4 percent (4-of-11).
- The Coyotes' Daytone Jennings led all scorers with 15 points.
