ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team clinched a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Tournament spot with a 68-54 victory at Sonoma State on Saturday night at The Wolves' Den.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars took a 24-23 lead into the locker room after trailing for most of the first half.
- CSUSM outscored the Seawolves 23-8 in the third quarter to take a 47-31 lead into the final 10 minutes.
- The Cougars led throughout the entire fourth quarter with their largest lead coming at 63-39 on a Hackson layup-plus-free throw with 3:27 remaining.
- The Seawolves closed out the game on a 15-6 run.
FAST BREAKS
- The Cougars improve to 15-9 overall and 12-8 in CCAA play while the Seawolves drop to 10-13, 8-12 in conference action.
- With the win, CSUSM will make its first CCAA Tournament appearance in 2019 after narrowly missing out last season.
- Two wins next week would guarantee the Cougars the fourth seed in the CCAA Tournament and would host the first round of the tournament.
- Forrester topped her career-best 14 points that she set on Thursday against San Francisco State with 19 points against the Seawolves.
- CSUSM held SSU's Ugochi Anudokem to just 13 points.
