ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – In its final road game of the 2018-19 season, the Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team secured an 80-74 victory over Sonoma State in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action on Saturday night at The Wolves' Den.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Seawolves led 17-9 with 13:43 in the first half before the Cougars went on a 13-4 run to take their first lead of the game at 22-21 with 7:13 to play.
- After a Fuller layup put CSUSM up 24-23 with 6:42 left in the half, the Cougars stayed on top for rest of the period.
- After 20 minutes, CSUSM held a 38-35 lead over SSU.
- The Seawolves went on an 8-0 run to take their largest lead of the contest at 59-50 with just over 13 minutes remaining.
- The Cougars used another 13-4 run to knot the game at 63-all with just under nine minutes left.
- Tied for the final time at 71-71, CSUSM ended the game on a 9-3 run to secure the victory.

- CSUSM improves to 7-19 (4-16 CCAA) while SSU drops to 8-17 (6-14 CCAA).
- The Cougars shot 47.1 percent (8-of-17) from three.
- CSUSM chalked up the victory despite SSU leading for just over 62.5 percent of the game and only taking the lead three times.
- The Cougars tallied a season-high 21 assists to the Seawolves' 16 and came away with seven steals to SSU's five.
- Elliott's game-high 25 points were a season high and the second-most points scored by a Cougar this season.
- Soffer's 24 points were also a season high.
