SAN FRANCISCO – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team began its final road trip of the season with an 87-60 loss against San Francisco State in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Thursday night at The Swamp.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars trailed by as many as 13 points with 6:56 remaining the first half.
- CSUSM ended the first half on a 13-3 run to close the gap to 37-35.
- The Cougars outshot the Gators 48.3-44.8 in the first 20 minutes.
- Soffer ended the half with a game-leading 15 points while Elliott came in with 13.
- SF State outscored CSUSM 50-25 in the second half to secure a 27-point victory.

- CSUSM dropped to 6-19 (3-16 CCAA) while SF State improved to 16-8 (12-7 CCAA).
- The Gators' Jase Wickliffe led the game with 30 points after going 10-of-15 from the field and 6-of-10 from beyond the arc.
