SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team suffered a 69-66 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) heartbreaker to Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday afternoon at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars trailed 31-30 at halftime despite shooting 44.4 percent from the field to CSUDH's 40.0 field-goal percentage.
- CSUSM led just twice in the second half, both by two points in the ninth minute of play.
- The Toros went on a 12-0 run, leading 59-49 with 6:44 remaining in the second half.
- The Cougars answered with a 15-7 run of their own to even it at 66-66, capping it with a 3-pointer by Sloan with 20 seconds on the clock.
- Alex Garcia sunk a 3-pointer in the corner with three seconds remaining to clinch the victory for the Toros.

- The Cougars fall to 6-18 overall and 3-15 in conference action while CSUDH improved to 12-11, 10-8 CCAA.
