SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team fell 80-66 against Sonoma State in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) contest on Thursday night in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM got out to a 9-4 lead over SSU in the first five minute before the Seawolves 15-2 run in the next six minutes.
- The Cougars closed the gap to 24-20 on a Soffer layup at 5:38 in the first half.
- CSUSM trailed 42-21 at the half after shooting 29.6 percent from the field to SSU's 48.4 percent.
- The Seawolves kept their cushioned lead throughout the second half, never letting the Cougars within 12Â points.
- CSUSM shot 45.2 percent in the second half, improving on its first-half performance of 29.7 percent.
- The Cougars outscored the Seawolves 45-38 in the second half.
