SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team improved to 2-0 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action on Friday night with a come-from-behind, four-set victory over visiting Cal State East Bay at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a slow start in the opening set, CSUSM closed the gap to three points at 21-18 before the Pioneers clinched the set at 25-19.
- CSUSM evened the match in the second set behind a .316 hitting percentage, registering 16 kills on 38 attempts and making only four errors.
- The Cougars dominated in the third set, only allowing the Pioneers one run longer than two points when they tallied four uncontested points to make it 18-11. CSUSM responded with a 6-1 run.
- CSUSM took a quick 6-1 lead and never trailed in the fourth set. Aguilar notched five of her 14 kills in the final set.

- CSUSM improves to 6-4 on the season and 2-0 in CCAA action while the Pioneers drop to 5-6, 1-2 conference play.
