SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos baseball team fell 15-0 to No. 26 UC San Diego on Thursday afternoon in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action.
Juniors
Ruben Valdez and
Isaias Torres each tallied a double and a single in the game.
The Tritons (31-25, 27-14 CCAA) posted runs in seven of the nine innings and finished with 13 hits.
Zander Clarke recorded two home runs for UC San Diego while Alex Eliopulos, Shay Whitcomb, and Justin Beck each homered in the contest.
The Cougars and Tritons will face each other again tomorrow at 3 p.m. Prior to the first pitch, there will be a short Senior Day ceremony honoring
Tyler Place and
Aidan Stinnett.
