POMONA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team fell 77-51 at Cal Poly Pomona in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Tuesday night in Kellogg Arena.
Needing nine points to reach 1,000 CSUSM career points , senior
Savannah Camp became the third Cougar women's basketball player to reach the milestone with a jumper in the opening minute of the second quarter. Camp finished the night with a team-high 14 points and now has 1,005 points in her three years at CSUSM. She is closing in on Heather Thompson's (2011-15) 1,026 points. Cassie Damyanovich (2011-15) is the all-time Cougar scorer with 1,198 points.

Chloe Eackles each added five points.
CSUSM (7-13, 7-9 CCAA) held a 14-11 lead after the first quarter. CPP's (15-8, 12-5 CCAA) offense exploded, outscoring the Cougars 24-8 in the second quarter to take a 35-22 lead into the break.
CPP's 22 second chance points crushed CSUSM as the Broncos outrebounded the Cougars 23 to five on the offensive boards. For the night, CPP held a 50-28 advantage on rebounds.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow notched a double-double, recording a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds.
The Cougars return to The Sports Center on Friday, Feb. 9 when they host Cal State San Bernardino at 5:30 p.m.
