SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team fell 76-67 against San Francisco State on Saturday afternoon in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) contest in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Down 15-11 at one point, the Cougars evened the game at 19-19 on a Soffer 3-pointer at 8:17 in the first half.
- CSUSM tied the game three more times before the Gators took a 33-30 lead into the break.
- Back-to-back 3-pointers by SF State's Michael Diaz gave the Gators a 51-43 lead in the second half.
- Elliott's layup at the 8:11 mark cut the gap to 58-54.
- The Gators extended their lead to 72-60 on a 3-pointer by Jiday Ugbaja with 1:21 remaining.

- The Cougars drop to 3-7 (0-4 CCAA) while the Gators improve to 6-3 (3-2 CCAA).
- Turnovers proved to be the difference in the first half with CSUSM recording eight to SF State's three.
