SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team fell 66-41 to No. 9/21 Cal Poly Pomona on Wednesday night in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) contest in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars trailed 31-13 at halftime after shooting only 17.2 percent from the field (5-of-29) while the Broncos notched a 42.9 field goal percentage (12-of-28).
- CSUSM shot much better in the second half at 47.6 percent (10-of-21), but CPP still had the edge at 48.1 percent (13-of-27).
- The Broncos outscored the Cougars 35-28 in the second half.
- CPP ended the game shooting 45.5 percent (25-of-55) from the field while CSUSM shot 30 percent (15-of-50).

- The Cougars fall to 3-7 overall (0-4 CCAA) while the Broncos move up to 4-1 (2-1 CCAA).
- Bryce Sloan made a career-high four 3-pointers while tying for his second-most points in a game with 18.
- Only 28 of CPP's points came from inside the paint while a third of their 66 points came off the bench.
- The Cougars' 13 points in the first half were their fewest in a half this season.
- CSUSM had its second-best free-throw performance of the season at 70 percent (7-of-10).
- The Cougars committed their second-fewest fouls of the season with 14.
