Baylee Olsen's only two points of the game, a pair of free throws, gave the Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team an 89-87 triple-overtime victory in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play at Cal State L.A. on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles went on a 9-2 run to take a 15-14 lead after the opening 10 minutes.
- CSUSM trailed by 10 points (33-23) with 3:48 remaining in the second quarter before the Cougars went on a 6-2 run to end the half at 35-29.
- A Dynnah Buckner jumper at 3:55 in the third quarter gave the Cougars their first lead of the second half at 40-39.
- CSUSM took a 47-44 lead into the final 10 minutes after outscoring CSULA 18-9 in the third quarter.
- Hackson sunk a 3-pointer with four minutes on the clock to even the game at 47-47.
- A 5-0 run gave CSULA a 64-60 lead with 42 seconds remaining in the game.
- Custodio's layup with 29 seconds on the clock cut the gap to 64-62.
- After CSULA's Chiderah Uzowuru made a jumper with 10 seconds remaining in regulation, Hackson dropped a 3-pointer with three seconds left at 66-65.
- An intentional foul called on CSUSM gave Mackenzie Barnes two free throws (only made one) and CSULA the ball.
- A foul by CSULA with two seconds on the clock sent Buckner to the free throw line where she made both to send the game to overtime at 67-67.
- CSULA's Rachael DiRegolo's layup with 17 seconds left in the first overtime evened the game at 77-77.
- Both teams were scoreless in the final minute of the second overtime as both teams only scored four points in five minutes.
- Forel opened the third overtime with a layup to put CSUSM up 83-81. CSUSM stayed on top until Uzowuru's layup put CSULA up 87-86 with 1:33 on the clock.
- Olsen swooshed both of her free throws with 13 seconds remaining, and classmate Cheyenne Ertz made the backend of her free throws with one second left to clinch the victory.
FAST BREAKS
- CSUSM improves to 7-3 overall (4-2 CCAA) while the Golden Eagles fall to 6-4 (3-3 CCAA).
- The Cougars won the battle of the boards, grabbing 54 (19 offensive) to CSULA's 43.
- This is CSUSM's first triple overtime in program history and the Cougars' ninth game to go into extra time. CSUSM is 6-3 when the game goes past the 40-minute mark and 1-1 in double overtime.
- Forel recorded her third double-double (second consecutive) of the season with a season-high 27 points and 18 rebounds.
- Twelve of CSUSM's 19 turnovers came in the first half.
- CSULA's Uzowuru led all scorers with 33 points.
