SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team dropped an 86-75 decision to Humboldt State in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Thursday night at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars trailed 51-32 at halftime with Williams and Sloan leading the Cougars with eight points each.
- CSUSM came out of the break with an 8-2 run capped by a Sloan 3-pointer to make it 53-40 Jacks.
- A 3-pointer by Williams cut HSU's lead to 60-48 at the 13:49 mark of the second half.
- The Cougars outscored HSU 43-35 in the second half after going 6-of-14 from beyond the arc.

- The Cougars drop to 3-5 (0-2 CCAA) while the Jacks move up to 4-3 (1-1 CCAA).
- HSU won the battle of the boards, 37-28.
