SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team saw its lead dwindle away, falling 67-58 to visiting Simon Fraser on Saturday night in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Olsen scored six of her eight points in the first quarter as the Cougars trailed 21-13.
- CSUSM's offense came alive in the second quarter as the Cougars outscored the Clan 21-12 to take a 34-33 lead at the break.
- The third quarter saw four lead changes with CSUSM coming out with a 53-50 lead.
- The Clan outscored the Cougars 17-5 in the final 10 minutes of the game.

- Both teams have a 1-1 record after the opening weekend of play.
- CSUSM shot 43.1 percent (22-of-51) from the field while SFU shot 42.1 percent (24-of-57).
- The Clan won the battle of the boards, finishing with 39 including 17 offensive rebounds while CSUSM collected 27 rebounds.
- The Cougars were 10-of-11 (90.0 percent) from the charity stripe.
