SAN MARCOS, Calif. - Seven road contests await Cal State San Marcos Athletics as men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer and volleyball are all away from San Marcos this week.
Women's golf will travel to the Skyhawk Women's Fall Intercollegiate in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Monday, Oct. 22 and Tuesday, Oct. 23 while the men's team travels to Seaside, California, for the CSUMB Otter Invitational on the same days. Men's and women's soccer will visit Chico State on Thursday, Oct. 25 before heading to Stanislaus State to wrap up the 2018 regular season on Saturday, Oct. 27. Volleyball's lone match of the week will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27 as the Cougars head to down to La Jolla to face rival UC San Diego.

LAST TOURNAMENT
- The Cougars defended its Western New Mexico Fall Intercollegiate title on Tuesday, Sept. 25, winning the tournament by five strokes.
- Senior Sarah Garcia and junior Jaime Jacob went 1-2 to lead the Cougars.
- Garcia had a clean sheet with four birdies and 14 pars for a 4-under 68 in the final round to finish with a 4-under 140.
- Garcia was CCAA Golfer of the Week (Sept. 19-25) after winning CSUSM's first individual title of 2018-19 season.

THE LEONARD FILE
- Head coach Andrea Leonard enters her eighth season in charge of the Cougar volleyball team, a program she has built from the ground up since arriving on campus in 2010.
