NEW ORLEANS – Eight members of the Cal State San Marcos men's and women's outdoor track & field teams earned All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Adam Moe,
Sankalp Shastri,
Troy Thompson Jr. and
Jason Wells earned the honor on the men's side, while
Jordyn Brooks,
Nadia Miechowicz and
Danielle Patrick earned the honor on the women's side.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three-ranked relay team.

Isaac Brooks, Moe, Thompson and Wells earned All-Region honors in the 4x100-meter relay as their time of 40.42 seconds at the Rossi Relays ranked second in the region while setting a school record.

Wells also took All-Region honors in the 200-meter dash as his school-record time of 20.99 seconds at the CCAA Championships ranked fifth in the region.

For the second consecutive year, Shastri earned All-Region honors in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:46.43 at the Franson Last Chance, ranking third in the region.

Jordyn Brooks earned All-Region honors in both the long jump and triple jump. Earning the honor in the long jump for the second consecutive year, her mark of 5.99 meters at the Cal State LA Last Chance Meet ranked second in the region and was the second-best mark in school history. Her school-record triple jump mark of 12.20 meters at the CCAA Championships ranked third in the region and ultimately qualified her for the NCAA Championships.

Miechowicz took All-Region honors in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.83 seconds at the Aztec Coastal Classic, ranking fourth in the region.

Patrick earned All-Region honors in the pole vault with a school record and CCAA Championship mark of 3.87 meters, ranking second in the West.

Since 2018, the men's team has had 26 USTFCCCA All-Region performances while the women's team has tallied 15.
