TURLOCK, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team fell, 62-57, in an overtime heartbreaker on Friday night in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action.
The Cougars drop to 1-8 overall and 1-4 in conference play while the Warriors improve to 6-7, 3-4 CCAA.

Lupe Cruz collected her first double-double of the season after recording a team-high 10 points and 14 rebounds. Senior

Chloe Eackles added eight points.
The Cougars saw their 38-26 halftime lead slip away after shooting just 23.1 percent from the field in the second half compared to their 45.5 percent performance in the opening 20 minutes.
Junior
Stephanie Custodio sunk the backend of her free throws with three seconds remaining in regulation to send the contest into overtime.
The Warriors outscored CSUSM 8-3 in overtime to clinch the win.
Stan State's Lizzy Alexander notched a game-high 21 points while pulling down nine rebounds.
The Cougars close out 2017 with a showdown against San Francisco State on Sunday, Dec. 31. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.
