SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball notched a 58-52 win over Cal State Monterey Bay in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) on Saturday afternoon in the Otter Sports Center.
Eight games into their conference schedule, the Cougars (8-5, 5-3 CCAA) have matched their conference wins of 2015-16. The Otters fall to 4-11 overall and 1-7 in CCAA play.

Raegan Lillie led all scorers with 18 points after going 8-of-14 from the field and 2-of-3 at the line. Junior forward
Savannah Camp tallied just two points but came up big for the Cougars on defense by registering a game-best 11 rebounds. Junior forward
Allie Tobie chipped in 11 points after a 7-of-10 performance at the charity stripe.
The Cougars wasted no time out of the gate, taking an 18-11 advantage after the first quarter and eventually recording a 26-19 lead into halftime.
The Otters put together a 14-2 run to cut CSUSM's lead to only two points with 5:36 remaining in the game. But the Cougars closed out the contest with a 14-6 run to secure the win.
The Cougars held NCAA Division II 3-point field goals per game leader (4.0) Victoria Dorn scoreless in the contest. CSUMB was led by McKenna Hills' 12 points while Courtney Keaton and Alexa Sperling each contributed 10 points.
The Cougars begin the second half of the CCAA schedule on Thursday, Jan. 12 when they host Cal Poly Pomona at 5:30 p.m. in The Sports Center.
