HAYWARD, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team dropped a 59-44 decision at Cal State East Bay in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action on Thursday night.
The Cougars fall to 7-5 overall and 4-3 in conference action while the Pioneers improve to 8-6, 5-2 in CCAA play.

Ashley Jenkins led the Cougars, shooting 42.9 percent (6-of-14) from the field and going 4-of-5 at the charity stripe for 17 points. Junior

Savannah Camp tallied seven points and seven rebounds.
Rebounds proved to be costly for the Cougars as the Pioneers had the advantage at 52-35 with 20 coming on offense. CSUEB converted 23 points off CSUSM's turnovers.
Janae Chamois registered 13 points and Morgan Green collected 15 rebounds for the Pioneers.
The Cougars travel to Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday, Jan. 7 with a tipoff slated for 1:30 p.m.
