SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos Department of Athletics and Welk Resorts have agreed to a new partnership, making Welk Resorts the official home practice facility of the CSUSM men's and women's golf teams.

CSUSM's golf programs will have the ability to play the course throughout the year.

"We're excited about the partnership with Welk Resorts for this coming season. The Oaks course will give our student-athletes a great resource to work specifically on their short games," said CSUSM head golf coach Greg Hutton.

Welk Resorts San Diego is home to two golf courses. The Oaks, a unique par-3 course, is lined with beautiful oak trees and is ideal for working on the short game. The Fountains is a 4,000-yard executive course that provides a friendly experience to players of all skill levels. Welk Resorts was designated by GOLF DIGEST as one of the "Best Places to Play." In 2014, Welk Resorts opened San Diego's First Foot Golf course. Foot Golf is a hybrid sport with the object of kicking a soccer ball into an oversize golf hole and is one of over 500 courses in the US.
